What Guests Are Saying
O'Haver Lake offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with stunning scenery and well-maintained sites, making it a popular destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Camp hosts receive high praise for their friendliness and cleanliness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, issues such as limited water availability, noisy generators, and overcrowding during peak times detract from the experience, suggesting the need for improved management and facilities.

Great campground. Come here at least twice a year. Always kept clean and the hosts have always been so nice. Great campground if your looking for something a little quieter and family friendly.

Love this place - Sites are large and for the most part separated from each other. Ron and Renee the managers run a tight ship and always eager to help out and answer questions.

Campground was tidy & quiet, restrooms well tended. Lots of paddle board/kayak/fisherpeople - all enjoying the beautiful scenery and apparently well-stocked lake! Site #11 (near the dock) is fabulous - catches morning sun and the view of the lake is the perfect morning companion. We had quite a bit of rain showers during our 2 night stay and the pad never got muddy - good level gravel base.

This campground is so pretty and just the right size. The camp host this summer (Ron) was so great, checking on us each day. The campsites were very clean, restrooms were super clean. We fished, floated, swam and just enjoyed Colorado. We hiked Starvation Creek Trail, in the area off cr 203 - nice trail but you can’t get to the trailhead without a sturdy, 4wheel drive vehicle (partial drive through water. We didn’t have and hiked to the trailhead.) the campground is a short drive from poncha springs.

If reservations are not available, some campsites are first come-first served, also called "Walk-up" sites. First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the SAME NIGHT they are paid for. These sites usually fill Friday evenings and through the weekends. Due to the remote nature of campgrounds, calling to check availability prior to arrival is not possible. |
