Coming to Colorado for a sport; kayaking, fishing, sailing, hiking, camping, shopping, and "cycling", this is the place. I can of only one con and that is hearing some freeway noise at night.

I did not actually stay at Heaton Bay because I could not get all the consecutive days I need for my stay in the Silverthorne area: however, I did drive through there to see what it was like and visited with the camp attendant. It is a very nice area with spectacular views. The camp attendant was also very helpful and informative,

Location, location, location! Very well kept, clean and well managed. The only negative, and it is a big one, NO DUMP STATION!

The camp site is very spacious with trees that provided some quite and privacy. The restroom is very clean. We will stay here again next summer for the Bravo Vail Summer Concerts.

We had a great site, the bathrooms are the cleanest we have seen. The sites were nice trees or shrubs. We plan on going 2020 also
