I love Heaton Bay Campground. We go every year. The hosts keep that place very clean.
I wish it had showers & RV dump at the site.

Great campground, however, our site (D45) was very dusty and was not close to where we could park our car, so hauling all of our gear to the site was unpleasant. We’ve been here in the past and loved it. Most of the other site are much more conveniently located in relation to their respective Peking spots and nowhere near as dusty.

The location is great, the sites are large with plenty of room between sites. There is a major downside. Other than the very few electric/water sites, there is no faucet to fill water tanks although water is available to fill containers. The biggest downside is the lack of a dump station. After a stay, the nearest dump is around Lake Dillon to the water plant at the base of Swan Mountain Road.

Great privacy/trees. Easy access to quiet cove for kayaking.

We couldn’t use this campsite. It said it would fit a 40’ RV so we figured our truck camper would be an easy fit. Nope. It was a regular sized parking spot and walk in campsite. Please update your descriptions. I still don’t know if we’re getting a refund. This is BS.
