Our favorite place. The sign saying NO WATER would have been better placed at the road entrance so you could turn around and fill the tank at the dump station in town. Too late, we were already set up. We ended up buying 5 jugs of water at Safeway. Other than that, it was great as always.

Spent 1 night in site D51 and it was great! It was a ‘double’ site so it was pretty big. We were able to put 3 tents total with a good space from each other. There were 2 picnic tables and a fire ring/pit. And the parking spots were just literally in the site as well and so we can see our car from our tent. There were 2 bathrooms like ~300 ft from our site as well. Overall it was a great camping experience at heaton bay.

We had a great weekend at Lake Dillon. Our site was pretty small but it worked for us. There are limited amenities. Our reservation did include a parking pass for other areas so that was nice. We took our kayaks to the boat ramp and launched for a fun day of paddling. We found a little spot that had a beach and we picniced there. There is some trail access for hiking and biking too. No dump station at Heaton Bay. We went to the city sanitation and dumped for $10.

I stayed at site 80 for two nights and didn’t want to go home. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The views were beautiful and there was a short path to the lake from the rear of the site. I loved everything about it.

Absolutely beautiful! I loved the trees surrounding the campsite. It definitely gives you the feeling of a little more privacy. It was very clean and well maintained.
