We had a great time at Heaton Bay, its a beautifully kept campground...just wish it had been a little easier finding the hosts for firewood, I walked all over the place before another camper gave me some direction. Overall, awesome experience

This is a beautiful campground, great access to A wonderful bike path, a beautiful lake, and really really nice people. Both Frisco and Dylan are charming in their own ways. We found plenty of convenience is nearby and Simply loved all the views. We were lucky enough to be here for the Osprey baby fledging and the great blue heron’s baby fledging. The bald eagles on sentinel island we’re gone by the time we arrived but next time! Don’t miss this beautiful place the mountains are amazing. So much to do from eating out to Hiking to biking to paddling. So many children at the campground it was fun to hear them laughing and enjoying the outdoors during this weird Covid time.

The camp hosts are fantastic - friendly, available, great communication and the toilets were spotless. This campground is located right off of I-70 and you do hear freeway traffic at night (which shouldn't be a surprise). The views are beautiful and the location next to I-70 also makes it very convenient to access.

From I-70, take Frisco exit to 203. Turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road.
Travel northeast for 1 mile. The campground will be on the right hand side
of the road.
