The location is perfect. On the shore of Dillon Reservoir in the White Water National Forest. Direct access to the lake for any water activities. The camp is situated off of Swan Mountain Road that connects Keystone and Breckenridge allowing for easy access to these destinations as well as Silverthorne and Dillon for shopping, dining activities, concert events held in Dillon Marina and, say more prosaic things like laundromats or showers ($5 at Silverthorne Rec. Center). There is a bike path looping around Dillon Reservoir and from Breckenridge to Frisco. A lot of hiking trails in the area.
Campsite has well maintained vault toilets. Some tap water. No provision for washing dishes. Sites is large and depending on a site are more or less isolated from each other by some young pine trees. Ground is clean, sandy and does not get muddy when it rains.
Due to altitude the nights could be quite cold. We experienced temps dropping below freezing in mid July. Weather can be unpredictable and subject to abrupt changes.

Sites are very nicely laid out, not right on top of each other. Bathrooms spotless and clean smelling. Nice little trails to the lake. Host was very friendly and had firewood for sale, and also enforced quiet hours when people pushed their luck with loud music and shouting (much appreciated!). Bear proof dumpsters and potable spigots. Couldn't ask for a better experience on a Saturday night in July!

This campground is absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by high peaks and right on the reservoir. My only complaint would be that I got an email before my reservation stating that the potable water was still usable by everyone except for RV fill-ups, but to my surprise when I showed up, they had locked all water pumps. I never received an email warning me there wouldn't be any water. Luckily I brought some of my own water and ended up having enough to last, but it was still annoying to rely on something that the campground later took away without notifying me in advance. But this isn't even worth taking away a star for, since everything else was amazing. Even the bathrooms were sooo clean and didn't smell.

I should say "this place is terrible, DO not go there!!! Like that we can find a spot always...But I believe in karma, and it is not nice to lie. The palce is gorgeous, the views amazing, stunning morning runs, and beautiful sunsets. Close to awesome mountain bike trails. Enough space between camp sites. Chris, the camp host is just perfect. And the bathrooms are the cleanest bathrooms in USA. But remember, if you are camping, or glamping, depend of your vehicle or tent, there are no showers, neither water or electric hookups; which makes it more magical and free.

We love this campground. Right back the lake, lots of hiking and beautiful mornings. On our list of places to go back to at least 2x a year. Great place to be in the fall when the aspen turn!

If you want to listen to multiple groups of people partying all day and all night while the campground host not only does NOTHING to quiet people after quiet hours but also verbally assaults you when you ask him to, this is the campground for you! Seriously, this campground is horrible.

More trees than advertised. Sites generally spaced out. Use site map and Google Earth for site selection research. Contractor hosts were a professional pair That kept bookkeeping updated in the bathrooms is clean.

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This prevents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on Saturday. |
| General |
Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
