Great camping location! Had a great visit at Alexander Springs, easy check-in, great camp sites & clean shower/bathroom facilities. The campsites are great sizes for tents, RV’s & camper vans. Some sites have a perfect path between two sites, would make for great sharing sites with kids or groups. The actual spring is beautiful as well. With easy access to drop off your kayak/canoes, it’s a huge bonus to take advantage of the beautiful outdoors on the water. Swimming access is easy, with picnic tables, bathrooms & plenty of shade. This is a must go to spot. Remember, keep our parks clean, don’t trash the Earth because you’re looking for a good time. Appreciate the beauty & pick up after yourself.

A couple of things were bad, the bathrooms were not cleaned for a week after presidents day weekend, showers were lukewarm at best, and a camper had a generator with no muffler everyone in the loop was complaining and staff said there was nothing they could do, I found out later there is a decibel level set for national forest and this was over the top, I went to Salt Spring after Alexander which is run by different company it was so much better bathrooms cleaned 3 times a day, hot water in showers etc

We had a wonderful experience camping at Alexander Springs for five nights. The staff did a beautiful job of hosting us, and protecting one of the most magnificent natural springs in the world.

I love the park and have been an occasional visitor since 1971. In general it is a 5 star park in my view. The problem is the sites are mostly very unlevel. The paved pad is narrow and the ground beside the pavement is washed out which leaves the edges of the pavement to break off. The results of this leave the pad a good foot above the ground making it difficult to set up steps to enter and leave the campers.
I walked the park and found only five sites that did not have this issue.

The camp is in a beautiful natural setting, but poorly managed by a concession. Bathrooms dirty. Sounds of gas blowers annoying for campers and must really disturb wildlife.

Shower's hot and good water pressure.....It was so nice after swimming in chilly spring water.
There's no drinking water server at restroom. The other state parks provide them. I hope Alexander had them too.
