Great park so close to many things to do in and around the Everglades. The park staff is so friendly. Take the ride down to Everglades NP. It's so worth the ride. Do the scenic drives around Big Cypress. We saw so many birds and gators.

Really nice campground. The bathrooms were very clean and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The tent sites are really large.

Great campsite. Wish we’d had longer to explore the visitors centres in the area.

Nice setting, spotless facilities, friendly staff. Tenting location is very close to US 41 and traffic noise continued most of every night making sleep sometimes a challenge. No pots and pans cleaning facility. No T-Mobile phone reception.

Midway Campground was a fantastic place to disconnect from the hustle and to focus on family time. The seclusion along the Tamiami trail allowed for ample wildlife viewing and amazing star gazing. The Campground was a short drive from several visitor centers/hiking trails, as well as a local art gallery. A short drive further will have you at the Miccosukee Indian Reservation's cultural center/airboat rides, or at Everglades City in the other direction.
The campground has very limited cell service- but that is what we were looking for! Well kept grounds with large fire ring and clean picnic table at site. Several picnic structures around the man-made lake in the center of the grounds. There is an easy to access dump-station and potable water fill up at the front of the campground to either prepare for your stay- or to clean up afterwards. The loop is easy to navigate for rigs of any size, and the set-up allows for tent campers to be offset from trailers/RVS (making for a much safer camping space for the tent sites.
The campground hosts were extremely friendly and were regularly seen taking an active role in the camp grounds maintenance. This included scrubbing down the picnic tables, keeping the grass mowed, and keeping engaged with the campers.
We have been to many camp grounds both public and private- but this one is one of the very few that have completely exceeded expectations. It is a no frills place to unwind and reconnect with both family and nature. We will most definitely return!!!
