What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

The nearly identical and too closely spaced sites are paved, with all sites having electric, a big plus.
The lack of cell coverage here is the biggest outage, and would have made for a much better experience

Great location in between Everglades City and Shark Valley/Miccosukee. The campground was very well taken care of. I drove in at night and was still easily able to find my campsite. No showers but still good bathrooms. Once night hit, everyone was pretty quiet. When quiet hours began, it was really silent. Stargazing was great! (Not as great as Utah or the desert but still beautiful!)

We enjoy this camp site! The best part is the friendliness of the camp hosts.

Friendly and helpful campground hosts. Clean restrooms. Nice and clean campsites. Well maintained. Perfect location “midway“ between Naples and Miami! Nice to have a campground in South Florida with electrical hook ups.

A delightful oasis in the wild lands of the Everglades/Preserve. We had a huge alligator walk through our site, so do be mindful of yourself, kids and pets!

The hosts were great and informative. The campsite was clean and paved. Glad to have the 50 amp service. It would have been nice to have water at the site, but I would definitely come back again. Love National Park campgrounds!
