The campground is fairly small but well laid out and very well cared for. The grounds were lovely. Because it is somewhat secluded it feels very private. We had quiet neighbors and enjoyed our stay.

We came in the winter since the mosquitoes are unbearable the rest of the year.
We have stayed here several times before over the last 10 years. For some reason, we had NO cell phone service this time.
And of course the campground does not offer any kind of WI-FI.
SO, we cancelled our return stay and got another location out of the Everglades.

Midway is in a great location with easy access to the Everglades features like Shark Valley, visitors center, air boat rides, etc. It is a small campground right on Rt 41. Ir is clean and well maintained and the camp hosts were great. It there are any negatives it would be the fact that the campsites only have electrical hookups but the is a dump station and a place to fill your water tanks. Stay for a night or stay for a week. There is plenty to do in the area.

Great central location for access to Shark Valley, Big Cypress, and 10000 Islands. Nice sites, clean facilities, and friendly helpful staff. 3 miles from Oasis Visitor Center (don't miss this spot!) and Clyde Butcher Big Cypress Gallery.
