We stayed two nights at Monument Lake and it was great. Entire campground was clean. Camp host was very helpful with recommendations. Alligators were fun to watch in the lake and the near by Canal and loop road:

The camping here was to my liking, quiet, great hosts, and in the middle of nowhere .....by some standards. Cell reception was great. Be advised that this is no hookups (water or electric). Have some water on board your Rv when you arrive. There is dump station several miles away you can use if you camp here.

I was in site 23. Peaceful and beautiful, level spot. Only there for one night and used my own facilities. After wandering on the loop ( I don’t recommend that road) I was pleased to find this site so easy to park. RS Adventerous 22 feet.

Very nice and relaxed campground! Plenty of space within and between each site. Picnic table and fire ring are included in each spot. Bathrooms were clean with running water (just wish there were showers). There’s a sink and a spigot with potable water. Verizon cell service was 4 bars. Campground hosts were very friendly. The lake has 1-2 Gators that seem to be regulars.

Tent site very nice, facilities very clean. However after quiet hours two families came to the park and set up their tents, left their trucks running, and were VERY noisy. The host did not come over to tell them to be quiet, I had to yell at them. At 1 am they were still sitting around their fire and talking. The quiet hours need to be better enforced at this site.

Nice park. Great manager. He was in the middle of dealing with a rude camper who left his LOUD generator running ALL day, even while he was away. If not for that I would give 5 stars as it is just what is advertised. Hopefully the ride camper situation is all resolved by now.

Perfect location for my trip objectives! The three night stay was stress-free and the campground hosts were friendly and helpful. The grounds and facilities were clean and my tent site was quiet and private. No shade, but it's the Everglades after all and the environment I came to experience!
