Very nice "no frills" campground. Some of the sites are really close together and people running their generators during the day can be bothersome. Unlike the description the sites do have campfire/grill rings.

Great experience overall and camp hosts are excellent. Big drawback was use of stinky, noisy generators too late into the evening and could not enjoy being outside at campsite at all during dinner time. Thought it would be much more restrictive with generator use and was hoping for much less noise and air pollution. Really enjoyed cruising through Loop Road, Oasis Visitor Center, Clyde Butcher Gallery and Chokolosskee.

Excellent experience. Staff was more then great. Very friendly and welcoming. Sit was clean and well managed. Lake is nice. Hopefully they get power hook ups at some point soon

It is a nice campground but try to get one of the higher numbered sites. Those right at the entrance (3/4/5?) are not very nice. Later when I had 21 or 24 it was much more pleasant.

I stayed in #2. It was lakefront. I had a myriad of ibis, egret and others as a continual backdrop to my view along. I saw daily the1 alligators that live there. It’s quiet, relatively small. You can walk around the lake easily and the staff is gracious and knowledgeable. The bathrooms are clean. It is more of a rustic site. If I’m in the area, I will definitely choose this place again.

This is a great central location if you want to be close to some cool things to do within the preserve. It’s well maintained by the staff and we camp here just about every year.

Very well kept campground. Unfortunately we only stopped by overnight but would have enjoyed staying there a few days. Maybe next trip.

Seclusion was great! Wildlife great! Access to bathrooms was great! Ample space, and access to grills were superb! However, There was 2 bright lights at the main restrooms, which, in my opinion, took away from seeing the Milky Way. (This was on a new moon night)
