Relaxing place, and the bear boxes are wonderful for storage.

I have been to Juniper Springs many times over the last 40 years. It was sad to go back recently to camp and see the park in such disrepair, trails closed, boardwalks rotted, pavilions falling apart, and worn out restrooms. It seems great for families as dozens of children on bikes were riding through the campground. The spring itself is still beautiful.

Really great site for beginner or seasoned campers. The staff are awesome and can answer any questions. Facilities are clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend.

We certainly enjoyed our stay second at Juniper Springs. The springs setting including the old Mill House and grist mill are a well maintained example of our history. The camping sites are spacious. The bath house is centrally located. Our only complaint is as with many National Park, the roads are uneven with with a lot of broken asphalt. An interesting aside - when we left the campground, we had traveled probably less than two miles when we were pulled over by a patrolman because we were driving too slow. We had barely had time to get up to the 35 miles we were clocked. There were no speed signs. We were unaware that by law in Florida you must drive near the posted limit.

We camped at Juniper Springs three different times will visiting Florida. The first night the campground was very full. Our next door neighbors did not understand what quite time meant. They were up making lots of noise passed midnight. My husband went over and told them would they mind quieting down. They did their best for young early twenties but did take then a while to wind down. Like an hour. We then stayed again. This time being my fault I threw out the code to the after hour gate code. Well we arrived a little after 10pm. could not get in. No number at gate to call so we decided to leave car to side and walk in because our tent was already set up. When we passed the office there was no number posted to call. They may have said something about call 911 but really just because we forgot the gate code. I don't think so. As we walked heading to our camp site there was a sign and gate for security that lead back to a trailer but so dark and gate swung close with so number to call. Actually looked kind of creepy. So we ended up scaring an old couple at the bath house when we asked them if they new the gate code. They did end up trusting us and we said thank you so much. We went back to gate and car open gate drove to site and settled in. Well not to much later a group of campers started to jam on their bongo drums till 2 am. So glad we were some distance away. I felt bad for anyone closer to them. Well in the morning I stopped at front gate office and walked in. Talked with ranger or volunteer not sure. Told her about the noise and getting locked out. Then I saw a number INSIDE the office not POSTED OUTSIDE the office about who to call and that there is always someone in campground to call. WHO and WHERE in not sure. And why inside the office and not posted outside so those at night or after hours can find the number and not have to scare an old couple coming out of the bath house after hours. Please park think it through post security numbers where needed.

Juniper Springs great most favorite place to camp! I love that the sites are large & mostly private.
The spring is absolutely amazing and such a great way to cool off with warmer temperatures.
The bathrooms and showers are kept clean.
Ice and firewood are available onsite.
The only downside is that during warmer ticks are plentiful. And they are very tiny and hard to see. DEFINITELY plan on buying tick spray (recommend Yaya Organics All Natural Extra Strength Tick Repellent DEET Free - 16 Ounce Spray Bottle on Amazon) for you and your pets.
