I had called the park directly to find out if they had boat slips for 40 ft boat. They said yes and named out four slips that were available for that evening. however they did not take reservation. They instructed me to go on the web site which I did. Upon. Arrival at the end of the day I was horrified to discover the slips were way too small for my boat..

Beautiful site on the river. Wish we could have stayed longer. Long hike from tent site to restroom. Too bad the visitor center could not be open. Nice to have a book exchange. We did have an explanation of the lock from a ranger. 1/2 price with senior pass.

Finger piers are short, and the shallow water with rocks at the shore means you cannot get too close to shore, but electric and water worked fine, good showers, friendly hosts, and friendly helpful other boaters and campers make a very good experience. Did not use it but there is a community fire ring right up the hill. Lock activities can only be viewed at a distance until Covid is over, Likewise the visitor center was closed due to Covid. Entire Cg seems clean, well mowed and maintained.

We stopped with our 40' trawler for one night, tying up at slip B8. It was a bit of a squeeze because the pier wasn't very long but with the help of the boater in the next slip we were safely tied up and on 50A power in no time. It was a very quiet, beautiful setting. The gentleman at the office/info booth was very helpful and informative, the restrooms/showers were clean and only a short walk from our pier. We really wished we could have stayed another day or two but have this locale circled on our charts and plan to do so on our way back.
