Winfield

Lady at the gate was extremely nice and helpful. We had 2 dogs leashed and all other dogs were leashed during our visit. Our spot was fantastic and we had great neighbors. Small ant issue, but it may have been the permissions tree with ripe fruit. We will definitely visit again.

We had a great week with good weather. We have been camping here for about 40 years & plan to continue for many more. The hosts at this camp ground is the best. So friendly & helpful, couldn’t ask for better. Please keep them at this campground!! Sure wish you would keep the campgrounds open longer. They are closed during some of the best camping for us retired folks!

We try to visit Winfield each year. It's our hurricane hole for storms that hit the southeast. We find it to be a quiet, clean and friendly place to camp and relax. Augusta is a 40 minute drive from Winfield and has museums, riverwalk, canal boat ride and highly rate resturants.

Enjoyed our first visit to Winfield Campground. We did have an issue with ants, so be prepared-Ortho Home Defense

Enjoyed a large lakefront site, could fish, and swim. very quite campground. Will stay here again.

Great campground with wonderful staff. All unoccupied sites were very clean, and host did morning and evening rounds. My only issue was the ants. They began infesting my camper the minute I parked. Luckily I noticed they would be an issue right away but it was a weekend long struggle to keep them out of my camper and truck with multiple rounds of ant spray. Bringing ant spray is a must for this campground. Aside from the ants, I had a great time.

The host's are really great and friendly!!!!! The bath house and restrooms are alway very clean!!
