I had to switch sites in the middle of my stay. I left my car at the old site because I was moving to the new site with the truck. I was gonna come move the car after. They call the park ranger and she’s super rude and tells me to come move the car now or she will write me a ticket. It was before the the check in time for the next guest so I’m not sure why she was so upset. The host threatened to ban me when I was leaving. Other than the host and rangers being very rude , I enjoyed the park.

RV sites are dirty, bath houses are terrible...worse I have seen. Will not return to a Corps of Engineers park....VERY disappointed.

The man and wife "team" at the front gate when I arrived had an attitude...not a good way to start my visit!!
RV site are not cleaned after people leave.
Bathrooms and showers were absolutely terrible...dirty and mildew.
I will not go back to this Corps of Engineers site and plan to contact the Commanding General.
You get what you pay for at $30/night!!

Lady at the gatehouse was a bit snippy about my presenting a America the Beautiful Military Veteran card, saying “that’s not for camping ! “ and said it’s just for getting into National Parks and I already knew that . I also have a current America the Beautiful Senior Pass which Allatoona COE’s offer a discount for and presented it to the gentleman who was also there and he kindly looked at the card without any snide comment and said “you’re all paid up with your discount” , which I already knew. Kindness goes a long way towards satisfaction and I must say she is not the right person for welcoming guests at the gatehouse. I have enjoyed Sweetwater Campground since my teen years and still do now in my 70’s. There’s lots of nice campsites all over the campground, but I’m partial to the loop nearest the entrance and dump station.
I will keep going back but hope I don’t have to see Miss Crabby again !
