I arrived to checkin and was informed my campsite, which I reserved in advance, had been moved. I received no phone call prior to checkin to advise me of this. I also received no explanation upon arrival. I was told “we changed your campsite, I hope that’s ok”…as I was already there. I asked if the campsite they moved me to still had a water view, as the one I had reserved had a beautiful one. I was told “the water is right there” which I took to mean, yes, water view. That was incorrect. So I received no advance notice, and no reason why, the site I reserved in advance, was changed, and was given no water view. Also, they lock the gates from 1030pm until 7am, with no code to get in or out, which is pretty dangerous should there be an emergency.
If my site wasn’t changed I’m sure I would have a different opinion as the campgrounds seemed very nice, but it was extremely disappointing.

We had such a wonderful weekend at Sweetwater Campground and Loved our campsite. I was so nice to be on the water and to be able to get in our Kayaks right from out campsite.

The campground is well maintained. The campsites are clean and the restrooms are also kept clean.
The gate attendants are very friendly and helpful.

It’s 5 drive was in poor condition. Washed out and edges crumbling. Hard to back into. Need a bath house near the back campsites. Restrooms while clean are old and deteriated. Dump station design of back to back makes it hard to leave timely
We had a good time at BoothMuseum and Savory car museum. Wished there were hiking trails. Checking was smooth

Overall we had a relaxing time. Park rangers need to patrol more we saw them once. Loud music from neighbors was a nucinse people aren't as courteous as they once were. Bathrooms need updating and there aren't enough showers. 4 showers for 150 campsites isn't enough. Look to vogel
