It was nice. Camp hosts were friendly. Weather was good. No cell service at all. Showers were improved. New shower head and handle helps a lot. But a clear shower curtain in outdoor shower really…

Beautiful campsite - we arrived on Thursday and we had one campsite next to us occupied and other than that would not have known there were other people there. It picked up a bit on Friday, but the upper loop campsites are all quite privaters as mentioned you can hear the cars and trucks on 19, but not as disturbing as some people make it sound. And it definitely quiet ens down overnight, so really just during the day. Upper falls Are beautiful and about 0.75mile hike with a little uphill, but we did it with a 3 year old who walked all the way up and down. All facilities exactly as you would expect - functional and clean and didn’t have to wait once over the 2 days we were there. We will absolutely return.

We were in campsite 17 which is on inside of road b. Would rather be in 14, 15 or 16 next to river but still ok. Never saw the ranger or anyone on staff there. Had a great time hiking to the upper falls.

All campsites re clean and well maintained. Campground hosts are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Just wish state patrol or someone would do something about motorcycles flying up and down highway. Understand trucks creating noise downshifting but the motorcycles are ridiculous!

Make sure to get a spot next to the river. The road noise is audible but not too bad if you are at one of the further sites. Gorgeous weather and space. Will camp here again!

The camp sites was great we stayed at 20B it backs up to the creek. It would have been nice to have the foliage around the creek trimmed so access is better. The campground where you have your tent is very well maintained. The trail to the falls was good but the falls could use some clean up as well. The bathrooms and running water were great. The upper pit toilet did have a smell when the wind was blowing towards our campsite but they were well maintained. There is sound from the roads as previous reviews stated but it didn’t bother us or interrupt our sleep! Overall it was a great experience!

The privacy was great in our spot, we really enjoyed that part. Check in from an online area was very confusing there was no one to talk to to pick up tags or anything saying we were all good to be there. The hiking at the camp site was limited the falls were beautiful but we thought there would be longer trails or more. The bathroom situation now for us was the worst. It was not clear that the showers were dead bolted during off season. If you allow campers you should open showers or make it easily known online. We couldn’t even call anyone due to no service and like before it was hard to find anyone to talk to. The open toilets were disgusting which is fine since after no showers we kinda understood the lack of facilities. We probably will just stick to state parks from now on though and use the back country sites. The only thing we actually liked was the site however it seemed the tent pad and table pad were backward, due to the fire ring being so close to the tent. I would recommend the spot to people but with high warnings about the bathroom and hiking options.

Love the campground. The sites along the creek are spaced out well. Very close to hiking, including the AT. Would be perfect if it wasn’t adjacent to a noisy highway.
