The grounds are lovely, and the facilities are as stated in the description. The location of Desoto Falls was perfect, and Blood Mountain is only seven miles up the road. The problem with the site was the road noise that ran all night. This was mentioned in other reviews, but there was no availability for my dates that were further from the road. My thought when booking was, "how bad can it be". The answer is "pretty bad". I booked for 2 nights and left after the first night so I could get some sleep. I think the sites closer to the water may show an improvement. I would be willing to try again if I were able to land a spot.

This was a fantastic experience! The hosts were extremely helpful and nice! We had a great time exploring the surrounding areas full of waterfalls. Helen, Dahlonega, Cleveland and many other towns were very close with lots of great restaurants and museums.

We had spot 2. Hosts were right next door, quiet during our stay and friendly at check in. Wouldn't do this spot again as it is next to the trail head and lots of people passing by during the day. The sound of the creek was so relaxing, it's a beautiful location. Women's bathroom had no soap but plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. Never had issues with wildlife in our spot. Very poor cell service for Verizon. Only once in awhile did a bar pop up for a second then disappear. Close to Cleveland and Dahloneha for any store needs. Vogel is close if you want more activities and Blood mountain, Brasstown bald, raven cliffs all close by for better hiking trails as the DeSoto falls trails are pretty short and simple.

Host was rude and yelling. Left before first night because while trying to talk with "Doug" he was reaching back behind as to be trying to retrieve a gun or knife. I ask him if he had been drinking which infuriated him more.
