What Guests Are Saying
Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds and friendly, helpful hosts. Many visitors enjoyed spacious, private sites with stunning views of Carters Lake and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, as well as nearby attractions like Ellijay and Blue Ridge. However, some concerns were raised about parking difficulties, the distance to restrooms, and noise from other campers disrupting the tranquility. Overall, it is recommended as a great camping destination with a serene environment.

The campground is absolutely beautiful. Our site is probably very good as a tent site but our rig is 33' and was very difficult to level.
Overall, another very nice visit to this wonderful campground.

This may be our new favorite campground! Sites are well-spaced out, and almost all have a view of the lake. We were on site #21 which was very spacious with a view of the lake, although somewhat obscured by spring foliage. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Peaceful and beautiful campground! We’ll be back!

Nice campground with several sites that have good distance between them and wooded as well. The shore line is pretty steep so expect to be a steep hike down to the water. The only downside is the speed bumps are annoying and the road just before the entrance is steep and twisty.

Every Corps of Engineers campground we have stayed in has been clean, spacious, and well maintained and Doll Mountain did not disappoint. The sites are very nice with LOTS of space between you and your neighbors. Site 46 was all concrete and very easy to back into. The scenery from the campsite was stunning. The restrooms/showers were very clean and well maintained. Check-in was supposed to be at 4 PM but I received a phone call (much appreciated!) telling me that the site would be ready early. We left an hour or so early and were able to get set up and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Lots of activities nearby, from wineries, hiking, boating, fishing, and shopping and dining in nearby Ellijay. Highly recommend this campground!
