Overall the weekend was nice. We love our location (#24) The beach area was dirty. It really needs some attention with the trash and bugs.
And we were there for 4 days and the trash in the bath house was never changed.

It was our first time camping and it was magically. My boyfriend proposed. The spot was gorgeous and we were alone because of the weather but we have a great time nonetheless. The only thing we didn’t like was we had to carry everything half a mile to our spot and couldn’t drive it but was definitely worth it for the view. Wonderful fishing spot.

I have been to other COE sites and the gate house is manned for checkin. Here you just pull up and fill out a card with your information (better have your own pencil/pen) go to your reserved site and enjoy. If you need the campgrolund host you need to go back to the entrance which is not close.
Our site was nice, but it would have been better if some of the trees were trimed so you could see the lake! Other sites had great views but we were not that lucky. They discourage bringing in firewood, but there is not available there.

You need to work on the beach area when you bring children with you its very disappointing that they can't use the beach theres not much else to do enlarge the playground more activity for the kids

Really love this campground. The breeze off of the lake helps keep it cool. Bathrooms are kept clean.

From Atlanta, take I-75 north to Exit 293; follow Highway 411 north. Turn right on Highway 136, then left on old Highway 411. Turn right on Highway 282/76. Campground is located 4.5 miles off Highway 282.
