Rangers at the gate were awesome! They went above and beyond in duties in helping me out. The campground is fantastic. As one who has camped around the country for about 50 years, I have to say this site is amazing from my perspective. It is not huge, so it is not very crowded. The campgrounds are not stacked on top of each other, and because of the local geology, the elevation changes make each camp site seem as if you have a private site with a private water view. The bath house was clean which a shower and toiler for each room you can lock. There was a nice dock and small beach. I look forward to coming back often to this campground.

I spend a lot of time at this campground and the restrooms, for the first time, was absolutely aweful! It was filled with gnats and bugs. The toilet paper was black with gnats.
The camp hosts are as always, awesome but I know it’s not their job to clean the restrooms.
This is the only time over thirty years I can this.

Woodring Campground is accessible via I-75 and Highway 411, which connects to Highway 136 and Highway 282/76. The campground is located approximately 4.5 miles off Highway 282.

- All campers must have a reservation and register upon arrival. Campsite occupancy is limited to 8 guests, 2 vehicles, and 1 boat.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.

- Camping at Carters Lake is limited to a maximum of 14 days within a 30-day period.
