I stay here every year for Memorial Day and love it. It's a wonderful campground with some of the best sunsets you'll ever see. The only word of caution is in the new bathhouse. The floors are super slick when wet and a few people have fallen - so I recommend wearing shower shoes with good soles if you don't already.

Woodring is my favorite campground! Even though they don't have full hookups/sewage I still love it here.

We were the only tent campers and had the entire section to ourselves. Very peaceful, beautiful, and serene. The hosts came to check on us after a storm and were very friendly. I have camped and rv’d here several times and I will continue. Very nice facilities and they are up kept very well.

The campground hosts were the best EVER! We have camped at Woodring Branch for years and the hosts this year were the best.
We do wish the campground stayed open longer. The camping and fishing at Carters Lake is ideal for a year round experience.

This is a nice campground, although we were disappointed in a couple of things. The spaces are close together and although they are offset, you're still close enough not to have any privacy at all. The other disappointment is the beach. The Morganton Point campground has a wonderful large beach area and we expected something along that line. This area is small, cramped and really no way to bring a couple of chairs to sit and enjoy the water. It's possible there is another area we didn't find, but the one marked 'beach' was not appealing. We paid for a 4-night stay, but only stayed 1 night.

The campsites are very well maintained. Not only that, but the scenery is breathtaking! Everything was so peaceful. It was also really easy to get to our site from where we parked. We are a family of 7 (5 kids, 2 adults) and we had our 2 dogs. There was plenty of stuff to do and experience. We will absolutely be returning!

Self check-in with reservation, cleanest campground all over including the restrooms and the swim areas. The water temperature is fantastic! Nature at it's best. This is the woods, be bear aware. Woodring is the place to go if you want amenities and nature. Fire ring, water and electric at each site, For tent campers, it's a trek to the showers. Boat ramps located within the campground. NO grocery close by but plenty to do, eat and sight see within an hour of the campground.
Don't miss the Bigfoot museum near Ellijay, Ga!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Woodring campground is. We had a wonderful time. The fabulous sunsets and the big harvest moon rises. We had such fun on our floats at the beach area and riding around the lake on our boat. The people we met were so nice and the camp volunteers helped us with so many things. Clint went out of his way to help us. The bath house has been redone since last year and it’s so nice. The cleaning crews do a wonderful job and the new configuration is great. I would recommend this campground to anyone. It was so nice seeing families having fun together. We also loved the week of doing nothing and just sitting in the peace and quiet. We’ll be back next year.
