Excellent facility, space #11 is perfect for tent camping with a great view of the lake. Friendly staff and bathrooms/showers are clean and safe. Ice and firewood both onsite.

Beautiful campground! We had a blast and enjoyed the scenery on the lake! Nicest campground restrooms we've ever been to!

Site 12 was very unlevel. We had to use every block we had to level our travel trailer and then had to use a step ladder to get in the door of the trailer. We didn't see a playground. Otherwise, the campground was quiet and very pretty. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were spotless. We'll definitely camp at Morganton Point again.

Much change over the past year and since we last camped here. Why am I not able to use my America the Beautiful Senior Park Pass? I was told it was because I was in site 13 which is now a "premier" site along with 9. It costs more also. FIND OUTDOORS now manages this park for National Forests/NPS. The park is still beautiful and well maintained, however the change to management company with new, increased fees and restrictions is just another gratuitous, societal
change likely due to staffing challenges/cutbacks. It's a shame and sad that we don't learn of these changes until we actually show up at our reserved site.

Beautiful park. Camp host was friendly, helpful, and available. Bathrooms clean and warm. Large rigs might have a tough time on the narrow roads.
Will visit again!

The good: The location is nice, wooded, close to lake and close Blueridge GA. We were there in the fall so the lake had already been let down for the winter.
The not so good: The sites are difficult to get into & out of, roads are narrow and ridden with potholes. The campground hosts were new but nice.

Cleanest bathhouse ever! Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Sites could use a little leveling

Campers are able to utilize the day use area for free, but if you have a vehicle parked in the day use parking lot then you have to pay the day use fee. You can be dropped off at the day use area and park at your campsite if you like. |
