Great week at Morganton Point. Nice quiet campsite (26). Short stroll to the lake. Excellent campsite host. Clean bathroom. Great place to camp when visiting area apple houses and vineyards. Delicious barbecue nearby - Mike's Trackside Bar-B-Q.

Upon arrival we were met by a camp host checking us in. He was very friendly and polite.
We had issues with our slide and called a RV Mobile tech to come fix it.
About an hour later a second host came by and told us we had to move the Third vehicle off our site, we explained it was a repair man. 30 minutes later the first host came by and told us the same thing, explained a second time. Don’t these hosts communicate with each other? This isn’t a large park!
On the second day, my husband backed directly across from (no one was on the site) us to let my daughter out, the host came by and insisted that he go all the way around the park and back into our spot because it was one way road. REALLY ACROSS FROM ONE GRAVEL SPOT TO ANOTHER!! Husband ignored and came back across!
We felt that these hosts were on a power trip, we camp almost every weekend and follow the rules but REALLY???!!
Spot was hard to back in, it was fairly flat. Bathhouse was clean.

Morganton Point Campground is a medium sized, wooded campground on a lake in North GA. It is a beautiful location, centralized to everything you want to do near Blue Ridge, Ellijay, and many wonderful places for hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and shopping. The campground has some hills, but all sites are fairly level and private. There are few narrow hilly roads getting to it, scenic. The bathhouse is nice! It looks like new tile. The shower is powerful (good pressure) and warm, but you have to push the button and it lasts approximately 15 seconds at a time to conserve water. It wasn't bad at all. Reserve a spot online and drive straight to your spot and the host will drive around on his golf cart and greet you and sign you in. There is firewood and ice for sale at the campground. All other supplies should be purchased prior to arrival. There is a store about a mile away for snacks, drinks, lighters, gas, etc. We had a large site with a view of the water and a trail leading down to the lake. You will be able to see beautiful sunsets over the mountains from the beach. Our dog loved it there. We love Morganton Point Campground and will definitely return.
