What Guests Are Saying
Coon Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the picturesque views of Lake Shelbyville and the quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. However, some concerns were raised about the lack of fish cleaning stations, narrow parking spaces, and the need for improved arrival hours for campers without reservations.

Was in site 38. It used to be a very nice site. Since they have paved it, they moved a fire pit away from the corner so you could not even sit and have a fire with your awning open and it was in the way for everything we wanted to sit around and do Campos should be in the office at least an hour or two in the mornings for those of us who go out on the boat. Had issues collecting our tags from a site reserved six months ago. Should not have to get off water at 2 PM to go collect a tag for a site that is paid for

Clean and quiet campground. Sites were well maintained. Bath houses were cleaned daily. They were plagued by bugs, but they are hard to control.

Beautiful park. Kids loved the beach area. I didn’t like how the toilet paper holders don’t allow the toilet paper to roll. No soap or a way to dry your hands. No trash cans in the restrooms. Sites were nice size.

We didn’t stay really long, we only drove around the lake a bit, but the campground was great. Clean, quiet, sites were nice. Ours was very shady.
I would say cell service is not as good as reviews say. We have AT&T and Verizion each only had one bar, calls were very broken. Other than that had a great time and will definitely be back!
