What Guests Are Saying
Coon Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the picturesque views of Lake Shelbyville and the quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. However, some concerns were raised about the lack of fish cleaning stations, narrow parking spaces, and the need for improved arrival hours for campers without reservations.

My wife Diana and I along with our two dogs Charley and Scooter arrived and the park hostess checked us in and directed us to our camp site. We got everything set up and started relaxing after a walk around the camp area. Everything was going well The camp site was clean and ready for us.
We were at the same location last year and had a very good time Diana and I will be back again maybe this year.

Lots if choices. Some sites need to be worked on to make them more level.

Nice quiet campgrounds. Gate attendant was not available when we checked in.
Fire pit was located behind our camper in campsite.

A beautiful park with several camping spots. Clean bathrooms with showers. Full hookups throughout the campgrounds. Great for boating and fishing. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Site 113 is a nice large pull through site and FHU. No view of the lake but very relaxing. It needed mowing and was finally mowed our 2nd to last day there

I agree with other campers that this campground is very well maintained. In particular, the showers and restrooms are in great condition. Kudos to the crew. I loved that the campground is surrounded by trees providing much needed shade for those long summer days.
My campsite had great views of the sunrise and of the lake. The nearby sites are in close proximity to each other. Fortunately, fellow campers were respectful of the quiet hours. Another plus of this site is the 3/4 mile Coon Creek Nature Trail, which was nice to jog in the mornings.
The only negatives are the noise from the boats and the light fixtures attached to the restroom facilities are extremely bright.

The campsite was very nice and well maintained. The site we chose is large and there was space between us and the neighbors.
The site is shaded with mature trees. I used our shower so I canβt comment on the shower house.
