What Guests Are Saying
Clark's Ferry Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and beautiful views of the Mississippi River, making it a pleasant stay for visitors. The location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions like Wildcat Den State Park and offers a peaceful atmosphere, particularly during midweek. However, the proximity to active train tracks results in frequent noise, which may be a drawback for those sensitive to sound.

It was a great place to stay. We were on the water. Watching the barges was fun. Bath house was very clean.

Like the new shower/bathroom houses but the temperature in shower needs to be turned up to be able to get hotter water (there is a control for cold to all the way to hot but hot is barely warm). Temperature was better last year. Also showers have so little pressure, I almost need to have my nose against the wall to wash soap off my face.

Quaint small campground on the Mississippi River in Muscatine, Iowa. Sites all concrete pad - level and well groomed. Park very clean and nice bathrooms/showers - host on site at entrance. The camp host is excellent!!

We stayed at the Clark’s Ferry campground for two nights in a travel trailer. It was in a convenient location right next to the Mississippi River and we had a spot right across from the river. It was fun to watch the barges steaming down the river. The campground is also close to Wild Cat Den state park which had a great hiking trail. There is a train that goes right by this campground (blowing it’s whistle) so expect some noise. The park was easy to maneuver and the dump stations was convenient. There is electricity and access to water to fill your tanks right near each campsite. Overall, we are grateful for the ACOE campgrounds and the affordable prices!

Having camp volunteers is not like the camp host/ hostess! Fisherman’s Corner in Illinois is a joke/ volunteers do not even want to clean the restrooms and we were @ Fisherman’s 4 days/ beautiful weather and grass looked horrible. The one volunteer with a motor home was worried about stacking more wood @ his site and just made a path from their camper and other camp volunteers camp to the restrooms! Again , they no longer have a camp host/ big difference!!! We camp @core’s by first time for Fisherman’s Corner in Illinois and was not happy. We camped with 2 other families. Restrooms were not very clean, like Shady Creek and Clark’s Ferry on Hwy 22 in Iowa.
