What Guests Are Saying
Howell Station is a highly praised campground known for its spacious, clean sites and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite for families. Campers enjoy the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and numerous recreational opportunities, including biking and wildlife watching. Some minor improvements are suggested, like better Wi-Fi and complete hookups, but overall, visitors have had great experiences and plan to return.

I love this campground. It is the most spacious campground we've ever camped, to date. The Bald Eagles are abundant!

A nice and quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. Facilities are very clean. The biggest complain that I have is you need to leave by noon. When camping for just a weekend you only get 1 day basically. If you come in on Friday evening you have to pack up first thing Sunday morning to be out by noon.

Having traveled around the country for the last 40 years in a camper we find Howell Station to be one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the sites are very spacious. Also really peaceful. Plenty of wildlife including bald eagles, deer and many other birds. The fishing is also great. If we could we would stay there all summer.

This campground is very nice with large spaces. It has very clean bathrooms and showers. Right next to the water and has a nice walking / biking trail.

Our site, restrooms and showers were extremely clean and well kept. Trails and roads are well maintained too. Cost of renting a site is very economical!! Howell station is very close to Pella and if you bring your bikes you can bike to Pella on the Volkswegen Trail and enjoy so many wonderful restaurants, stores and sites.
