What Guests Are Saying
Lucas Park is praised for its beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and clean restrooms and showers. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hiking and fishing opportunities. While some noted issues with water availability and a high presence of rangers, overall experiences are positive, with many eager to return for future visits.

We have been coming to wilson lake for 7 years and have always loved it but last year and this year there has been far to much presence of rangers sherrifs and the camp hosts. The camp hosts have been constantly bother the campers over rediculas things. The rangers seem to drive by every 30 minutes and literally herassing campers over nothing and the sheriff has been driving through every couple hours for no reason. Rangers harassed a camper just for hooking up to another campers water long enough to fill his res. The other camper had already given him permission to do so. And rangers bothered that camper the entire weekend. We all help each other out any way we can out here and we all get along. It makes all of us uncomfortable to look over our shouders to see rangers constantly looking for some reason to harrass us and the hosts are simply unhinged. We see them coming we all run for our campers so they wont bother us and treat us like its a prison camp. It truely has taken alot of the enjoyment out of it when you see them coming and think what do they want now. We used to see the sherrif maybe twice in a weekend and rangers maybe twice a day and the host usually just drove through to check people in. Its just become to much

Only downside was not having water hookups at the site.

Had a great time with family with exception of the hail storm which pounded our pickup and camper roof.

Water at the bathhouse was extremely cold. I’ve never had that experience where it’s been that cold every time I’ve gone to the shower house various times of day for the entire 10 days I was there. The water was cold.

A much calmer crowd even though the park was very busy.

Beautiful campground on the North shore of Wilson Lake. Has both shaded and open campsites with short walk to toilets/shower house. Everything was very clean, well stocked, hot water. We visited on a very windy day with the wind from the South, so the campground was extremely windy due to nothing stopping the South wind but the lake.

Our experience on this visit was really goid. But our visit a couple of weeks before was terrible. Dogs (alot of them) running loose, vehicles speeding, one family with multiple campers basically took over the loop and the beach. They were rude to other campers and acted like they were tge only ones there.
