What Guests Are Saying
Lucas Park is praised for its beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and clean restrooms and showers. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hiking and fishing opportunities. While some noted issues with water availability and a high presence of rangers, overall experiences are positive, with many eager to return for future visits.

Nice sandy beaches. The boat ramp was easy to get our jet ski in and out of for new beginners like us. Shower/bathroom facilities were clean.

Well-tended campground and facilities. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. We liked that what looked like a vault toilet from the outside was actually modern bathrooms.
The swimming beach was lovely, and we enjoyed the Rock Town Trail.

Wilson Lake is a hidden gem. Our stay was planned as just a stop over driving between St Louis and Denver. We were blown away by the stunning beauty of the lake and the views from the campground. We would have loved to stay longer. The campground was first class. Clean & well maintained. The shower house was extremely well maintained. The hosts were great. All in all, this is the experience you always want when camping.

I was very disappointed in the condition of the Lucas campground over Labor Day weekend. The grass was between our ankles and knees and the sand burrs were everywhere. I expected a campground that was ready for the high volume of campers and that the campground would be maintained and ready for this high volume. Very unhappy about the conditions.
