What Guests Are Saying
Lucas Park is praised for its beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and clean restrooms and showers. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hiking and fishing opportunities. While some noted issues with water availability and a high presence of rangers, overall experiences are positive, with many eager to return for future visits.

Beautiful spot to wake up to. Easy access to the lake, plenty of room to swim, or fish.

Wilson Lake is a beautiful lake. It is so sad that there is low voltage electricity for the campsites. Why is this? Maybe people should be made aware of this before they even use the facilities? This can be damaging to their air conditioners. We personally have a smaller rv. The breaker kept flipping and thermostat showed 99 in the camper. Found out that is the most the stat showed. For a Core of Engineering campsite, it’s very dissapointing. Thanks for wanting a review.

We love camping in Lucas Park. The park attendants Warren and Shirley are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are very clean this year which is a plus. We love to visit the towns of Lucas which has an amazing meat shop and The Garden of Eden. Wilson has a great grocery store, several restaurants, antique shops and a liquor store and Sylvan Grove has great food and drinks at Fly Boys Brewery. But if you don't want to leave the lake Knotheads Bait shop and the Marina have plenty to offer.

It was hot, 100° weather and the breaker at the pole kept popping. Other than that it’s a great lake with good fishing, and the staff was super helpful and very nice. The bathhouse only has one temperature either really cold or really hot.
