COE Lucas Park Campground Wilson Lake, Kansas. Excellent views. We kayaked and hiked the Rocktown Trail. Not much shade, so will choose another campsite if we camp here in hotter weather, but this is great for September. Sites are spread out. At campsite #13. The campsite is not level and took a while to get the TT situated. The other side seems to have more level sites. Camp host drove around and checked us in. Wish we were staying longer!

If you like wind and clear water, Wilson is the best lake in Kansas. I have been away for decades, but twice this year I have been back to Lucas Park and interacted with the camp hosts both times. They are very accommodating. The camp sites and bathrooms are clean. The grounds crew does a great job of keeping weeds under control and maintaining the bicycle trail. I'll be back next year if not sooner.

One of the most beautiful lakes you will ever see! The K-18 Diner in Lucas is a treat as is the Snack Shack in Wilson. Lucas Park at Wilson Lake is a great place to soak up the beauty and peacefulness of the area.

Lucas Park is our go to place for camping. Wish there were a few more walkways to the water so we don't have to walk through campsites. Some people camping near the water dislike that and are very rude. Also not enough power when the campground is full. But the camp hosts are amazingly friendly and helpful. We love Warren and Shirley and it will be a sad day when they retire.
