Having to reserve your spots on the web site is very complicated most sites that say reserved on the site arenβt actually reserved

We love to visit this beautiful lake, wonderful campground, and excellent campsite hosts. I can not say enough about how clean they keep the restrooms, and how welcome we always feel when we visit. We love the H loop and also G as well. Met the host from A4 and he was super helpful as well. This place is like a 5 star hotel in the forest! We have been vacationing here for many years, and cant wait to return. Hopefully one more before the close if season n October.

This is our first time at this campground. We LOVED it. The campground is so quite and the sites are so spacious. We liked the sites being tiered so you can have more area to enjoy. Even though the we was close to the campground boat ramp the traffic to the ramp wasn't bothering us. The only noise we had was a boat puttering by cause the campground is in the no wake zone area. We will be back soon. The complaint we had was in the description of the site was that it had a fire pit and grill. Well there was a fire pit but no grill.

This(6A) was an excellent duplex campsite. The parking level has a dedicated space for one tent and a few steps downstairs has space for two campsites, a picnic bench, and a fire pit.
The site is beautifully covered with trees and very spacious. Itβs also secluded from other sites. One can take the glimpse of the lake through the gaps between tree. And, there is a path to take you to the lake.
We loved staying here and definitely recommend this national forest and this campsite for a nature retreat.

Beautiful lake and camping area, need to be careful of the copperheads, we ran over one while visiting A section, right after dark crossing the road. Also, thought only 6 persons per site, in the primitive camping area, we saw lots of HIspanics climbing out of a 4 door white truck with a cover over the back. they were hiding in the bed under the cover, when they pulled up they climbed out and had lots of drinks and food in there. At the bathhouses they were lots of them taking showers, clothes on the floor, sitting on the floor with kids running around. It was really crowded and hard to get in.

A very beautiful and clean campground. The sites were all private enough. We found the hiking trail to Van hook Falls just 2 1/2 miles away. Several falls along the way. The lake is clean and a nice trail around it.
