Pretty disappointed in the National Park - They don't keep up with the place. And all the dump stations were FULL to the brim. We couldn't dump our black and grey and we had to leave the park with our RV and full and try to find somewhere to go and dump. Very disappointed.

We camp here every year. Our spot was not cleared and covered with sand, which made for a real mess going in and out of the camper, especially with dogs. Our table was far from where we could park. We love this area and hope next year the spot we get will be cleared better.

The campground was clean; spaces were easy to back into with plenty of space for our 16ft trailer and truck. We were a little disappointed that dogs were allowed in the campground but not on the trails. You should pay attention to the warnings about the wild horses and make sure everything is put away even if you are at your site. Storage space is provided under the picnic tables and should be used. The horses came through one evening and did tear into the site across from us.

The campground was nice and quiet, since we were in B loop which didn't allow generators. Most sites were not very private; if they didn't mow all the vegetation in between some of the sites it would be improved. Vault toilets were very clean and the grounds were well maintained. The horses waltz right on into the sites, so definitely put all food away. They will visit while you're eating so keep your eyes peeled! Visit the Marsh Walk and take your time, there's a lot to see. Bring binoculars!

Site C48, has views of the Sound, path to the beach for a sunset, stayed mid-May, bugs not bad, toilets are improved pit style, showers decent but cold water (didn't take one). Now for the cautionary notes: horses are everywhere in the campground, we left out a sub sandwich for a few minutes and suddenly the horses were upon it, knocking it to the ground and ate the whole thing. So don't leave food out even for a minute! Also, overnight a raccoon got into the secured food locker under the picnic table, crawled its way into our food box and ate only our chocolate chip cookies! Also the horses like to hang out around smokey campfires (keeps bugs away), so we abandoned the idea of a fire that night. And they sometimes charge each other to establish dominance over other females. We were chased around our vehicle and I hopped on top of a picnic table for safety, then later had to dive into a vehicle while they charged around our campsite again. Anytime you see a pile of horse poo, a stud pile, that means they come around and find out who's been there. And we had a stud pile at the back of our site, ended up in a horse stampede for about a half hour. Be forewarned & keep your children near when horses come around! Other than that, we loved having close views of the horses and it was an awesome experience!

Clean site and lots of space for set up! Only downside is it’s right downwind of the chemical toilets which made it hard to hang out on site due to the smell.
