Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. Great place to stay! We made excursions into DC & Maryland during our stay. It was perfect. Showers were a little crusty, but tolerable. Plenty of hot water. Recommend this park.

Quiet and peaceful campground. A forest within the city. We could still heart trains and sirens but overall it was very quiet considering you are in DC. It is a bargain for the price! The bathrooms were fine and the water hot. You do have to find a way to work around not having electricity so bring a battery powered phone charger. I would stay here again. You can't do better in DC as far as the price and convenience to a metro station.

Nice basic campground, plenty of shaded sites. Bathhouse in working order, loved the very large shower stall and plenty of hot water. The volunteers and rangers were great, particularly Ranger Jim Street, who pointed out to me that a metro station where I could get a train to go into DC and walk to the National Gallery of Art! As a result I stayed an extra three days and was able to meet up with a cousin who I had not seen in many years.
While the campground does not have hookups, there are water spigot located throughout the loops and the dump station which I used before leaving was easy to access. I definitely would recommend Greenbelt Park and campground as a place to stay for easy trips into the city.

Very convenient and easy to drive to for me. Grocery store close by AND an American Legion for Vets. Employees were seem/visiting many times!!! Great. I felt secure. Bath houses close enough for all camp sites. The price for my small VW van is terrific- $20!!!
