What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

It is a basic place to stay to boon-dock or tent camp. This is our second time here and we will be staying again on our return trip. Bathrooms ok clean.

I've been coming to Greenbelt with our 4-H group for about 5 years now! The campground is in a great, convenient location, and usually not too crowded. My biggest complaint is that the bathroom facilities are often in poor shape- not very well cleaned and in need of repair. Other than that this spot is a hidden gem.

Great stay with our 9 & 7 yr old granddaughters. They had fun riding their bikes around our campsite loop D and they enjoyed our Ranger-led nature hike on the Dogwood Trail with Ranger Edwin and Ranger Turk. Both girls really loved the whole NP Junior Ranger Program process, from learning about the program, getting their booklets, completing all the activities and Program requirements, including their final hike on the Azalea trail with its Fitness Trail station challenges. The high point of our stay was their Junior Ranger pledge and swearing in ceremony and receiving their badges from the head Ranger in the Ranger Station. The experience was incredible!

There was a campfire circle which was fun. Recommend the Greenbelt Cinema about 5 minutes away for a fun movie break: https://www.greenbeltcinema.org/home/

The location between DC and Baltimore was perfect for our planned trip. The cost of $20/day, was lower than most state park fees. The only issue we had was the cleanliness of the bathroom and showers. We were there 4 nights and the bathrooms were not cleaned in that time
