What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

It is a natural and nice state park that I really recommend.

Bathhouse was full of spiders and insects. It appeared they "sanitized it" with some solution then left. Never cleaned or picked up. There was a pair of socks and underwear in the bathroom all week. The park is old and crumbling. Not really a good first impression for the many tourists that we met while walking the dog around. And I'm a long time US citizen and camp all over the US and this was probably the worst NPS campground I have been to.

A great camping spot to be at to drive to DC. Hot showers, clean, no issues.

I go to many campgrounds and I have never experienced such dirty and unkept men's room facilities. Cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere. Mold and mildew on the tile walls. Dirty floors., mildew shower curtains, out-of-order toilets, and dirty urinals. For some strange reason, the wash basins and toilets were clean.. We at times used the ladies' room which was far better maintained. Should you wish photos, I can provide them.
