Camp staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Plenty of firewood available right next to my cabin(27) and really nice hiking trails. Only one other camper on site when I was there so it was really quiet and serene. The only suggestion would be to have either a small table or a little more shelf space inside the cabin. The cabin had 4 beds & I was there by myself so I had plenty of room, but if there were others with me, there really wasn't anywhere to put small items on, other than one small shelf in an alcove area. There was another alcove on the other side of the cabin that would be a perfect spot for a few shelves. Would definitely camp here again!

Camp Misty Mount is in a beautiful area. It's not far from Gettysburg, Frederick, and Harper's Ferry. Nice hiking trails, too!
We stayed in Cabin 18. We liked the privacy of the cabin.

After hours check in was a little confusing (we didn't know the park office was different from the camp office), but we made it! Camp Misty Mount was absolutely picturesque with the fall leaves turning, hardly anyone there on a W and Th evening. We hiked to Wolf Rock, lots of elevation changes and different views of the mountain forest habitats.

We stayed at cabin 40 and rolled in after dark. I was aware of not being able to leave our vehicle next to the cabin. What I didn't realize is how long of a walk it was from the designated parking lot to our cabin. My bad for not researching this better However, I did expect the sleeping arrangements to be a little better. My mattress caused me to have a gravitational pull to the floor. I felt like I was being forced to roll out of bed all night long. Fighting the laws of nature was not fun. I think the rules for not cooking in the cabin OR the porch is a little obsessive. Not a great experience for us
