Cabins were nice. The ceiling fans and lights were helpful. Time in the pool was nice after the car ride. A wagon might have been helpful to bring down the things that we had forgotten in the trailer since it wasn't conducive to tow the trailer to our cabins. The wood supplied was a nice treat and they did have some wagons for moving the wood. All in all we had a pleasant time though it was just a one night stay. We would have enjoyed staying longer had we had the time. Facilities were clean and pleasant.

A very nice 2 night stay at the cabins at Camp Misty Mount! Our camp host Kari was lovely as were ALL of the rangers and park personnel we encountered! Highly recommend for your next little nature getaway!

The cabin #16 is just an unimaginable cottage in the middle of tall trees.
3 Bedrooms, 6 single beds with 6” thick foam beds.
Just bring your pillow and sheets and a light blanket.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a small refrigerator and a sink.

Bring a few utensils, paper plates/cups, a cutlery set and simple prepared food of your choice. You may not have to go out to eat or cook.

The bathroom is spacious and nice.
For some reason, there is NO MIRROR anywhere in the cabin.

The floors, ceilings, and walls are all made of real wood panels.

What a great time we had a Camp Misty Mount. The park Rangers Jessyca, Dwight, and Thomas were so helpful and kind. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The local history is fascinating and plenty to do within a short drive of the park. The Rangers were helpful in deciding where to visit.

Cabin #25, Jun 4-6, 2022. Really a great experience, but be aware, the cabins are truly rustic (although they have outlets and a ceiling fan). The pictures you see on line are accurate. Recommend you arrive in the daylight for a couple of reasons. First off, it helps to get a lay-of-the-land (which is hilly) because you'll potentially be walking after dark. After you drop your gear at your cabin, you'll need to move your car to the parking area and then walk back to your cabin. Depending on where you are this can be a quarter-mile or so, but the walk is pretty dark after sunset, which by the way comes earlier than expected due to the thick forest. The second reason to arrive early is to use the broom to remove cobwebs and so forth from your cabin. Firewood is close-by with wagons to help move the wood. Rangers are great, and they have 'ranger volunteers' to assist after hours as needed. Bring a plastic table cloth for the picnic tables. They need to be power washed, and this is really the only serious recommendation I would make. So I hope someone will read this. You really didn't want to sit down on the benches or put anything on the bare table. The pool is very nice but you may want to bring your own lawn chairs. It is fully handicap accessable to include ramps into the water-top. Final couple of points: Be sure you stop by the Visitors Center one mile south on Rt 77. Good maps, facilities, water, and local area orientation; and be sure to use the hiking trails. They're short, medium, and long to fit your skills. But they're a lot of fun and we found them generally uncrowded. Enjoy the experience.

Beautiful cabins, beautiful woods, easy check in and check out, nice pool, clean bathrooms, not too crowded. Felt extremely safe as a solo female traveler
