Pack light or bring a cart. Parking is on the side of the road and there are only 2 paths across the small deep creek between parking and all sites . Mosquitoes are heavy and running water is no where . That being said a nice large site with a river path and plenty of space for anyone’s gear.

Couldn’t stay at this location had to go to a different one the description isn’t very clear. After driving hours to get there I had to park on the road and we had to cross a narrow bridge with our equipment it was impossible with all the things my family and I had.

No camp host/ park ranger on site. Locals use it as a hangout at night. The party two sites over played music until after 3 am. Same group ended up in a physical and verbal fight, resulting in the police arriving . NOT A SAFE CAMP. Shame because the view was beautiful

This location was awesome! The towpath and river offer so many recreational opportunities! The campsites offer plenty of space for privacy, the restrooms are clean, and the parking is close by. Will definitely be back.

Campsite 9/10
The Antietam Creekside Campsite is a great place to camp. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with a week of inclement weather, forcing us to book an Airbnb for the first two nights. Once we settled into our campsite for the third and fourth nights, we faced the challenge of rain and mud.
One particular issue we encountered was excessive noise from campsite 8. Kids were yelling and crying throughout the night, and someone was hacking wood with an axe late at night, which was quite disruptive.
On the other side of things, we did have diverse groups of hikers and bikers along the path during the weekend passing through. This is to be expected, as the area is popular for outdoor activities more so during the weekends.
On the fourth night, we had the campsite to ourselves, possibly due to the weather conditions. I would highly recommend staying again during better weather conditions during the weekdays.
