What Guests Are Saying
Black River Harbor Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful setting with well-maintained sites and proximity to stunning waterfalls and Lake Superior. Many visitors appreciate the privacy between campsites and the cleanliness of the facilities, despite some concerns about limited water access and steep trails. Overall, it’s a great spot for outdoor activities and a relaxing getaway, though mobility issues and the lack of potable water may be drawbacks for some.

We've camped here numerous times and it's always been a pretty good experience. Keep in mind it is not the best place if you have mobility issues. Most of the sights in the area involve stairs or rough terrain, and are not in the campground itself. I always feel there needs to be more space between campsites, but this one has pretty good privacy. The pit toilets are clean, but the smell did unpleasantly infiltrate one of our sites. We had no luck catching fish out of the river by the harbor, but thankfully there are many other activities to enjoy in the area.

Nice camp site. Fairly level, close to a nice park and beach. Trail through the campground down to the water. Enjoyed our stay!

Nice campsites with a decent sense of privacy. Our only quibble was the narrowness of the asphalt drives. A few more feet would have been nice when muddy conditions exist.

Sites were well kept and not on top of each other. Bathrooms were clean as well. We had a great view of the lake and loved all the trees around our campsite.

Very nice campground. Campsite was large and plenty of privacy from neighboring sites. Had some torrential rain fall and site didn’t puddle, yay! Rugged trail to lakeshore across road from campsite. Be prepared for no water or cell service. Firewood was available at host site and just up the road. Kwik Trip in Bessemer has all supplies you may have forgotten.
