We had heard about Colwell Lake and stopped for a couple of days in September. Our site backed up to the lake - what a wonderful place to relax. The campground is surrounded by lots of woods but it's not too far to some good restaurants. Our kind of place - we'll be back!

Love this campground! Unfortunately I have an elderly family member that I call everyday, but there is no cell phone coverage for close to 15 miles so I have to drive each day 30 miles to call. So I have decreased my stays at the campground. Even tried a hotspot to no avail! Other than that we love the big sites and privacy. Also a beautiful lake!

Fishing was good. Campsite was nice. Walking/hiking trail was nice. We love the rustic type campgrounds. Relatively kid friendly. Has swimming. We will stay here again

I’ve been camping here since a child in the 70’s.
This year’s solo camping at &Colwell was fabulous; still well preserved natural beauty. Loved the convenience of online booking. I’ll be back!
