Campground was easy to find. Reservation system worked flawlessly. Campground host was very helpful. On-site firewood sales included delivery to site and kindling. Beautiful location close to Pictured Rocks. Will definitely return to this site.

Great/ helpful camp host! Very clean facilities. Kinda noisy generators from RVs
Not use to hearing - were not RV campers. Loved the lake at Sunset, best colors.
Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Colwell Lake! There's a well maintained trail that circles the lake. Several of the campsites sit directly on the lake with semi-private beach access. Bathroom was well maintained. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.

We found the campground and the trail around the lake wonderful! The bathrooms could be cleaned more often (it seemed it was not done daily). We had a beautiful, large site at the far end of the campground. It seemed that all the sites were large and private. Our site (#31) experienced strong winds the first couple of days, while the sites away from the lakeside or nearer to the entrance didn't appear to have those winds.
I can verify there is no cell service for Verizon - this was a welcome break for us.

Love camping at Colwell Lake. Nice beach, most campers are friendly and follow the rules. The campground host was very nice.

Need a no wake rule on the lake. Too many jet skis and speed boats. Can’t fish. Jet skis at 7:15 am is unacceptable.
