Greatplace to camp for 1 night in our case. Could've easily stayed 2 nights and has a good time. Michigan DNR is miles ahead of many other states.

Wish we could have stayed here longer. Large spaces right on the bay. Facilities clean and nice.

The location was stunning and incredibly beautiful. Plenty of room for our tent and our screen house. We chose a spot with lots of daytime sunshine and were not disappointed. Views across the water especially for the sunset were wonderful. A shared walking trail along the water's edge was not an issue. Our neighbors were very respectful.
Bugs were not an issue at all, especially with the breeze off the bay. Trails were nice. Water and the bathrooms were very accessible and clean.
A huge highlight for us was spending time each day at the old lighthouse on the point reading in the sun and swimming in the bay and the lake.

This campground is a hidden gem with campsites right on the water. The boat launch is excellent and the pit toilets are very clean. And it has a beautiful sandy beach. Can't ask for more in a rustic campground.
