Really lovely site near the water, with neighbors at a reasonable distance.

The campsites were large and many of them specifically accommodated tents. Oak was a bit warmer and out of the wind. The camp hosts were very helpful and friendly. Let’s do it again!

Great camping, large lots, peaceful, clean, quiet. We love going there as often as we can.

The sites are HUGE and private!! The road coming into the park is asphalt and wide; however, once you enter into the campground circles, they become quite narrow. We encountered a few low hanging branches (we were in a 40' MH). We did not use the restroom facilities nor the water. Our site #29 was great for our solar. The campground host was very nice and very overworked...they only have one campground host for the entire campground. We would stay here again if in the area.

unfortunately the campground is very RV-oriented. huge sites with gravel, not comfortable for tent campers. very few tent campers, mostly RV with noisy and stinky generators. living in town is less noisy and much less smelly.
you could hear the train from across the bay all the time.
the water pump kept breaking down, so we had to drive (!) to the next loop to get water, ridiculous.
there is no beach, no real swimming. we went to lake superior for that.
very short hiking trail.

We stayed in the group site and it was plenty big enough to accommodate 4 campers and still had plenty of room for the kids to play . I highly recommend this campground.

We had a great experience at a walk-in tent site. Felt remote while having access to amenities.

This was our first visit, the campground is quiet, the sites are spacious. There aren't any electric sites or flush toilets, but the pit toilets were some of the cleanest and freshest smelling I have used. The campground hosts drove through several times a day checking on the pit toilets.
