What Guests Are Saying
Bay View Campground offers a beautiful and rustic camping experience along Lake Superior, featuring large, private sites under mature trees and clean facilities. Many guests appreciate the excellent cleanliness maintained by the camp hosts and the stunning beach access. However, some concerns were noted regarding the presence of generators, the need for a camp host for better quiet time enforcement, and issues with trash management. Overall, the campground remains a favored destination for its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere.

Using my senior passport meant that I could reserve a site for $10, however, by reserving through Recreation.gov I incurred an 80% upcharge for using the website. That's WAY too much. No other way to reserve a site and be sure I could grab a site when I got there.

The campsites were very large and quite private. We were just 50’ or so from the beach so we could hear the waves all night. The toilets were clean and there were bocce balls and other games available to us. It was a great place to stay.

This was the cleanest campground we have ever stayed in. The bathrooms were clean and our campsite was even raked before we got there. Very well maintained due to the camp hosts from what we could see. They also individually greeted each new camper! There was also a "free library" that you could take books from or add books to. The beach here was just gorgeous. Cell service is non-existent but we have a T-Mobile hotspot that worked when I needed to work so that was great!

What a wonderful setting right on the beach. Our stay was the best we’ve had in a long time. It was clean and quiet. The lots are spacious. The campground hosts are the best!

Stayed in site 4. But almost had a scheduling problem that the hosts were very instrumental insolving. Our hosts were nice friendly couple and very helpful. The sites have lots of privacy and are very long. There are a couple of beach access walkways for sites not on the beach. No services in the sites, but there is a hand pump for some drinking water and of course the vault toilets. Mostly a pine tree forest it's very dark at night.

The campground was super clean. Sites had been raked between campers and the bathrooms were immaculate!
Huge shout out to the camp hosts here! There was even a sharing library and well stocked game cabinet.
