What Guests Are Saying
Bay View Campground offers a beautiful and rustic camping experience along Lake Superior, featuring large, private sites under mature trees and clean facilities. Many guests appreciate the excellent cleanliness maintained by the camp hosts and the stunning beach access. However, some concerns were noted regarding the presence of generators, the need for a camp host for better quiet time enforcement, and issues with trash management. Overall, the campground remains a favored destination for its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere.

The hosts Val and Ron are THE best! They are welcoming, courteous, efficient and effective at taking care of the campground and guests. They recognize returning and new guests with equal amounts of courtesy and welcome … and what could be better than a rustic spacious campground on the sandy south shore of Lake Superior!

Bay View never disappoints. The parks had trimmed many of the dead branches last summer. The campground hosts were very friendly and helpful. The pit toilets were kept spotless. Spent lots of time watching the waves and night skies. We love early camping because the park is quiet. We will return.

Nice large sites, lots of uninhabited beach to explore with the dogs. Bathrooms immaculate, water sources close and dependable. Fire Wood available, and for September had one cooler night but on the whole weather was great. Enjoyed trails close to the park as well, Fall colors made it even better. Will be going back.

The hosts, Ron and Val, are the best. Great people and hosts. The acorns can be a bit much until there is a good wind. This is our favorite campground in the UP.

Bay View never disappoints.
Lake Superior beach, quiet campground, large sites all so well maintained but still giving campers a true forest outdoor experience.
Only wish thete was some type of prnalty for no shows who dont have the decency to cancel alloeing someone else the experience. Losing their fee doesnt serm to work so maybe not allowed to book a site for awhile might work .Unfortunate its come to this.

Friendly Hosts, enjoyed finding out about the area, especially some of the attractions and basic needs like shopping & laundry.
Most site are very private. Our next visit, we will choose a site on the the lake side of the loop. Caution though as some of the lake sites can be a challenge to bring an RV or Trailer into.
