What Guests Are Saying
Bay View Campground offers a beautiful and rustic camping experience along Lake Superior, featuring large, private sites under mature trees and clean facilities. Many guests appreciate the excellent cleanliness maintained by the camp hosts and the stunning beach access. However, some concerns were noted regarding the presence of generators, the need for a camp host for better quiet time enforcement, and issues with trash management. Overall, the campground remains a favored destination for its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the campground. Ronnie & Val are wonderful hosts. No problem setting up our 35’ fifth wheel in site 3.

The campground was as wonderful for us as ever. And having the hosts back this year after the one-year gap was so welcoming!

The Lake Superior shoreline is of course the first and best part of your visit. Next would be local businesses where fresh Lake Superior White Fish are cooked up after that nights fishing. Enjoy ice cream and fresh brewed coffee nearby as well. And finally other local attractions like a lighthouse will fill your day.

A great camping experience right on Lake Superior with a forest canopy. The camp hosts offer great hospitality, ensuring every campsite is cleaned and ready for the next camper.

Everything was very well kept, the bathrooms, the site, and the whole campground in general. Val and Ron are very personable and make you feel welcome. We consider this the best campground in the UP which is why we try to come here at least once a year.

For a relaxing visit along Whitefish Bay, nothing is better than a lakeside campsite at Bay View Campground.

The camp hosts kept the bathrooms and campground very clean. Sites are spread out and it feels very private. Good location for day trips to Tahquamenon Falls and to the Soo Locks.

This has become our "go to" campground. Large, well spaced sites, clean restrooms, hand pumps, and close to several top rated trails. Have to give mention of the Camp Hosts who assisted us in moving our site to higher ground after receiving 2" of rain during our first night (in a tent). We were able to re-locate, enabling us to enjoy the rest of our week, staying dry during a second day of 1" + rainfall. This park fills it's reservations early in the season, however there are several first come sites, most of them on the lake shore. Awesome Forest Campground! Quiet and less populated than our State Parks.
