This is a great park very near Columbus AFB in MS. We stayed during late January so the park was nearly empty. Bathrooms were very clean, but not overly warm for winter temps. We enjoyed the path through the woods very much. It's definitely a park we will return to.

Very nice campground; spacious sites and our site (6) had FHUs. I believe sites 1-13 were FHU and a group of sites at the other end are too. All the sites were kept very neat and clean. DeWayne Hayes is a beautiful, quiet, well kept and spacious campground right along the Tennessee-Tombigbee River. The women's bathroom was very clean and warm. Husband said the men's bathroom not quite as clean. Short drive into the town of Columbus for needed supplies. If coming from the north on Hwy 45, and GPS says to turn on Mike Parra, I wouldn't. It becomes gravel and has a tight turn. Continue to Jess Lyons Road, or further down to MS 373.
Would definitely stay again whenever we are in the area.

The office hours need to be more reasonable. If we are arriving late and calling the campground regarding our arrival time, it would be helpful to be. Able to. Reach someone during the hours of 8am to 8pm
