We stayed for the Halloween weekend and my grandchildren had a blast doing trick or treating the weekend before. I just love Hernando Point campground.

Disappointed when we arrived to discover that the lake which features so prominently is empty. might have looked for another site had we been informed about that condition. Otherwise found the campground clean and well kept.

We love coming to Hernando Point. Everyone needs to be aware that there is no water in the lake. Not just at winter pool, Army Corps of Engineers found a breach in the dam back in, I think March of 2023, all boat ramps are closed and it is trespassing if you walk on the lake bed. Still a very nice place to just get away.

The sites are not cared for. My site had 2 fire rings. Both full of trash and old cigar butts. Used to be cared for better.

Would have been 5 stars but the lake was drained. Nice park overall

Beautiful lakefront sites, lots of room, neat and clean. Never did meet a camp host but not sure it would've made a difference, other than confirming our reservation. Could hear some traffic noise from town but would highly recommend this location for anyone that enjoys a scenic site, has some form of watercraft or wants a chance at some fishing.

Very clean restrooms. We stayed one night only but it appears to be very clean. Quiet and peaceful. The lake must be really low this year 2023.

You need to add directional signs for the site numbers.
Also, those gravel patches on the road are horrible.
